P.J. Curling is a comic book creator & writer of Taking Out the Dead and Undisputed.
Originally from Philadelphia, PA, P.J. now lives in Southeastern Massachusetts with his wife and their dog where he works in mental health. He’s a huge sports fan, he follows: baseball, ice hockey, soccer and Gaelic football. His favorite teams are the Phillies, Flyers, Rhode Island FC and Dublin GAA. In summer ’24, he attended a sports event at his 100th different venue.
His favorite writers include; Kurt Vonnegut, Chuck Palahniuk, William Gibson, Scott Snyder, Chip Zdarsky, Patton Oswalt, and Travis Gibb . His favorite artists include; Becky Cloonan, Peach Momoko, Mike Mignola, and Rob Schrab.
P.J. is a proudly 2nd generation Irish-American, and 3rd generation artist, following in the tradition of his actress grandmother and painter cousin.
Undisputed is P.J. Curling’s love letter to professional wrestling. A 3-issue limited series, Undisputed takes readers behind the curtain and into the kayfabe world of the Undisputed World Heavyweight Championship.
The art includes interiors by Francesco Iaquinta (Dark Untold) and Wedersom Arantes, letters by Marco Della Verde, with covers from Wedersom Arantes, Erik Arreaga (Chingona) and Juan “Of the Dead” Ortiz.
Issue 1 will be released in January of 2025.
